I brought the family to Vancouver on Thursday for the experience, was a great day! I have never seen such an outpouring of patriotism in my country in my life!! And to top it off with the gold medal in hockey after probably the best game I have ever seen in my life was even more gooder! Well played USA!

wtf Canadian, where is alaska again?

Dusty it was a great game, heartbreaking but nevertheless an amazing game. The Canuck captain is a total stud that kid is set for life. I think Vancouver would have been in shambles if the Canadian team had lost, maybe it's for the best.

Either way its done wonders for the sport of Hockey, ESPN has never been more involved in the NHL now, maybe since the USSR/USA game

We would have got free televisions.

I headed for Alberta house to watch the game -- close to Canada hockey place. When I was around BC place stadium I joined in on a road hockey game that was set up spontaneously on a blocked off road. (The RCMP there were playing -- it was awesome). Alberta house was amazing --- the beer was fairly cheap too. (Although I was stuck with either Canadian or Rickards Red.) Once the US scored to tie it up, we were all encouraged by a delightful fellow wearing a wig and red comona, that I secretly suspected was working for the company (Molson of course) due to his epic hockey wisdom. After Crosby scored the place went absolutely insane -- I think I now know what victory in Europe felt like.
